- I would also suggest the Elavil. I take 25mg at night, there are no side effects. It does make me drowsy, but I take it about 2-3 hours before I go to bed. It does help me sleep better but I have stopped getting the daily tension headaches.

- I don't usually answer message boards, but this is a problem dear to my heart. I have had migraines for 25+ years, too. My doctor has prescribed generic Elavil, which I take daily at night. My daily headaches have since disappeared and it helps me sleep. I also find that Aleeve helps my pain.
